Climbing for Charity
Helping Needy Children
One Small Step at a Time
HELLO THERE!
I'm a fulltime IT professional and a mother of naughty twin girls. When I'm not working, I love exploring the world climbing mountains on my own terms. Mountains have always been a big draw to me due to their sheer magnitude and simplicity filling me with a powerful presence of life. These wonderful experiences and connecting with people from various backgrounds and ethnicities provided deeper insights into real world global problems.
In the fall of 2021, when I decided to embark on three challenging climbs (Chola Pass, Gokyo Ri and Everest Base Camp), as part of my yearly hiking tradition, I wanted to strive to make a difference. These climbs loom above 17,500 feet where there is half as much oxygen as there is at sea level with below freezing temperature's. The goal was to climb them as safely as possible while raising awareness and funding for a charity called "Save the Child" which is very close to my heart. This organization primarily focuses on supporting and addressing the needs of underprivileged children and girl trauma survivors. They do tremendous work in this area and could greatly benefit from your kindness and generosity. Supporting these causes is as easy as clicking on one of the "donate" buttons below.
Also a big thanks to all the companies and friends who believed in me and pledged to this charitable cause making me get closer to my goal of raising $30,000. Please make a difference by donating here.
